It’s always around this time of year I feel the need to give credit to those who surround my everyday life.
It’s very easy to feel alone in this world. Sometimes, the despair contrived within our own mind can dwarf any sense of physical displacement. A lack of companionship. The absence of a support system. The change from having something to not having it at all. A sense that no one has any idea what you are thinking and how you feel. Comparisons that turn into envies. There are may ways to feel alone.
But if we just take a step back, take a deep breath, and remember that we were never meant to experience all of “this” alone to begin with, we can switch the emphasis from being about WHAT we do in life to WHO we live life with. And as selfish as we may be, in a sense, that’s all that really matters.
Interdependency. Symbiosis.
We are tiles to a mosaic; the depiction of a masterpiece we will only know in conclusion as a whole, never as an individual.
