I have a soft spot for B&W photography.
Been awhile since I last blogged but here it goes until this tea knocks me back out.
I’m beginning to really believe Newton’s third law of motion: For every action there is a reaction equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. This law transcends physics and should belong to the rules of life. Like Yin and Yang. For every hardship, there is or will be experiences of happiness and good fortune. For every fortune, there is and will be a loss. Every saint has their sins.
And so to those who feel invincible today, who feel awesome, great. Don’t let anyone take those moments away from you, but tread carefully, and be humble, keep your feet on the ground. Be humble in the sense that life can steal from you just as easily as it gives to you. Cherish all moments that make you smile, but if the past is any sort of indicator of the future, realize that life works in waves, in highs and lows.
And to those who feel beaten, who are at loss without any reason to smile, know that there is hope. One’s mind and body can only be sullen for so long. Before you know it, you will find yourself growing from the loss, or adapting to the bleak situation. This will all happen before your conscious mind recognizes that you are recovering, that you are “better”. Just go through the motions of life, and all its crazy shit, and know that like every other human on this planet, you are capable of feeling the good and bad.
Recognizing life’s…consistent inconsistency is one way I stay sane in this crazy crazy world, if I’m sane at all.
And I could be wrong…haha..happy friday everyone.
