Time flies when you are living.
I’ve been finding that my best and deepest thoughts come from long rides in the car, with just myself the road and the radio…let me see if I can recollect.
What matters more: the road you’re taking or the destination at the end of the road?
My girlfriend was right. The holidays are a time to think things over, for better or worse. And I leave 2009 behind with these lingering thoughts:
I do not want my life to go unnoticed. I want to make an impact on the world. I want there to be a time where I can look down on the skeptics and doubters and say “I told you so”. There’s Google, there’s Harry Potter, there’s Flash Drives, Tom’s Shoes, Current.com, music. What will I contribute? What will become the embodiment of me without flesh? Don’t we all want to leave something behind before we leave this worldly place?
In a way, I hate being a pawn, or a cog for a larger mechanism. The idea of being just a number in so many different ways, is bothersome. I am a citizen in a government that needs votes. I am a employee in a company to create profits for a select few executives. I am a consumer that feeds on the influence of a select few individuals who determine what is accepted in society, and what I am suppose to like. I am societal cattle.
Americans are fat. Are humans suppose to be this heavy? To have an unamerican diet..hmmm..
a muse, a cynic, and a health-nut. This is how Andrew Reyes panned out by year 2010.
